Become a CASA Volunteer
CASA for KIDS board, staff, and volunteer advocates are on a mission to help prevent child abuse in our community, train volunteers to advocate for the best interest of children from Lamar, Red River, and Delta Counties who have been assigned to us by the court system, and provide opportunities for them to grow into responsible and productive adults.
CASA for KIDS envisions a safe and positive future for all children and families in Lamar, Red River, and Delta Counties.
What We Do
CASA volunteers are ordinary people just like you. They come from all walks of life, just like the children in foster care they help.
A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer gathers information from everyone involved in a child’s daily life, including members of the child’s family, foster parents, teachers, lawyers, social workers and other relevant persons.
Then, they report to a judge to advocate for the child’s best interest.
Become a CASA
Volunteer to ensure each child involved in the foster care system in our area has a CASA by their side.
Support Our Cause
You can move our mission forward by becoming a donor and providing for a local child in foster care.

What does a CASA Volunteer Do?
When a family is in crisis and becomes involved in the child welfare system, a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer may be appointed by a judge to advocate for the child.
This highly trained volunteer is someone from the child’s community whose responsibility is to get to know the child and their family and advocate for their safety, permanency and well-being while in foster care. This is just one example of the difference a CASA volunteer can make in a child’s life.
